NOTICE OF ESTIMATED TAXES PER TEXAS TAX CODE SECTION 26.04(e-2)
Visit Texas.gov/PropertyTaxes to find a link to your local property tax database, where you can review information about your property taxes, including the amount each taxing unit will impose if it adopts its proposed tax rate. Your local property tax database is updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that determine how much you pay in property taxes.
Proposed rates and estimated taxes can change as taxing units consider and adopt rates. You may request contact information for each taxing unit's assessor from the county assessor-collector for your county.
Authority: Tax Code §§ 26.04(e-2)–(e-6), 26.17 and 26.175. The relevant notice changes were enacted by HB 3273, 88th Legislature (2023), effective January 1, 2024.
