Governance & Transparency

The board adopts the district's budget after a public hearing § 6.06, contracts for an annual independent financial audit § 6.063, and adopts a written reappraisal plan § 6.05(i), § 25.18. These documents are public records — request copies through the Public Information page.

For an appointive or elective board position with a term beginning on or after January 1, 2026, the candidate must sign and submit the state's acknowledgment of duties to the chief appraiser before appointment, or before filing a ballot application, as applicable — not simply at the start of the term.
